Church was in session Friday night at Rupp Arena, and University of Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari was preaching to the choir. He shouted his message with all the flair of a man leading a revival, and the capacity crowd responded by leaping to its feet and all but shouting “Amen!” At the Wildcats’ first public practice of the preseason, known now in these parts as Big Blue Madness, Calipari worked the faithful into a frenzy with dramatic rhetoric. “Tonight, we feel the Kentucky effect in full force as we once again redefine college basketball,” he said. “Our potential is limitless. We do more than move the needle. We are the needle.” It was a showman’s speech on a night that was one big, glitzy production meant to fire up both fans and recruits. There were several of the latter – all heavily sought from coast to coast – in attendance Friday. They watched as Kentucky introduced a parade of alumni who are now in the NBA: DeMarcus Cousins, Josh Harrellson, Brandon Knight, DeAndre Liggins, Jodie Meeks, Nazr Mohammed, Tayshaun Prince, Rajon Rondo and John Wall. “Two years ago, our players broke a barrier when five were drafted in the first round of the NBA draft,” Calipari said. “It’s never been done before, and it may never be done again – unless we do it here, of course.

i want u 2 know

I want u to know how wonderful you are

I want to feel how close I want you to be

I want u to know how fast my heart beats

Every time you touch my hands

I want you to see how precious

You are for me and how bad I want to hold you

I want you to whisper how much you love me

I want to tell you how many time I cried

Just because I was thinking about you

And I couldn’t see you,

I want to tell you how many time I checked my phone

Just to see if you texted me

I want you to know how much I need you in my life

I want you to need me just like you need water to survive

i want you to love me the way I love you.
